INGREDIENTS
Yields approx. 130-135g (container: for example 1 KIIMA, 5 medium pebbles )
- 85 g mango butter
- 19 g beeswax
- 5 g arrowroot powder
- 7 g abyssinian seed oil
- 8 g camellia oil
- 5 g fractionated coconut oil
- 3 g olive squalane
- 10 drops La Fleur essential oil blend
- 8 drops litsea cubeba essential oil
- 5 drops Limoncello essential oil blend
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a double boiler, melt beeswax and mango butter until liquid.
- Whisk arrowroot powder into the melted butter and wax. Stir in carrier oils.
- Allow the mixture to cool until it starts to thicken (approx. 55°C) Add essential oils.
- Note: To preserve the essential oils, it is better to wait until the mixture is below 40°C. Since the mixture thickens before then, add the essential oils at the last possible moment.
- Pour the mixture into molds. Allow 24 hours for the lotion bar to set.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Apply the lotion bar directly onto your skin, focusing on dry areas. After applying to the dry areas, use your hands to rub the lotion in well using circular motions. You can also apply before going into the shower or bath, as the water will help drive the moisture into the skin.
SAFETY NOTE: Take caution as the oil can make surfaces slippery.
STORAGE
For peak freshness, use within 1 month. Keep in a cool, dry, sun-free area. Dispose of if odour, texture, or appearance changes before then.
NOTES
We provide options for both weighing ingredients and measuring by volume for your home convenience. However, weight is the most precise method for ensuring accuracy, as relying on teaspoons and cups may lead to noticeable differences in the recipe.
