Far from “business as usual,” we believe businesses can be a force for positive change. Since our inception 30 years ago, we’ve always strived for green solutions. Whether it’s a small jump or a big leap, we believe all efforts that act in compassion towards others and the planet is a step in the right direction.

 

Eco-friendly packaging

Occasionally we do need to use new packaging, but we reduce the need in every capacity we can. We use compostable or biodegradable materials whenever possible. Where we can’t, it’s often recyclable. In most cases, we reuse packaging our suppliers use to ship our products to us. Although it is not always recyclable and occasionally does include plastic, by extending the life of packaging already in circulation, we are reducing the need for new materials and thereby reducing our overall consumption.

 

Refill Station

Once you start refilling, you’ll be hooked. By re-using the same sterile containers time after time, you’re reducing the number of plastic bottles in landfills. Additionally, buying in bulk allows you to buy as much or as little as you need, so there are fewer chances that product will go to waste! Living truly “zero waste,” while honourable, isn’t always realistic. We understand that individuals strive to do their best, but that the path to “zero waste” living can feel overwhelming. We encourage you to make small steps in your journey, peruse our “Low Waste” lifestyle products for sustainable swaps, and live compassionately alongside us!
