Winter Switchel

With some of winter’s finest wellness ingredients, including ginger, raw honey, apple cider vinegar, and a touch of elderberry, our kid-approved Winter Switchel tends to your sweet tooth and warms the spirit on cold winter nights.

 

 

Makes 3 cups

Ingredients

  • 1 thumb of ginger (approx 3 tbsp), peeled + chopped
  • 2 tbsp (or less) raw honey
  • 1 tsp blackstrap molasses
  • 5 tsp raw apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Earth's Aromatique Hibiscus Harvest loose leaf tea
  • 3 1/2 cups water

 

 

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop ginger and place in a glass jar.
  2. Add honey, molasses, and apple cider vinegar. Stir to dissolve honey.
  3. Add loose-leaf Hibiscus Harvest Tea.
  4. Let the mixture sit for 4 hours.
  5. Add water and put the lid on the jar.
  6. Shake the jar to combine thoroughly then place in the fridge and let sit for 8-12 hours, and strain.
  7. Pour and enjoy.

 

Notes: This recipe can be adjusted easily for sweetness preferences. Add some fresh lemon juice for a citrusy kick!
