Forest Bath Drops Recipe

Ingredients:

Makes approx. 14 drops

Container: small white silicone mold

30 g Cocoa Butter (4.5 Tb - not packed, or 15 wafers)

54 g Baking Soda (3 Tb.)

30 g Citric Acid (2 Tb.)

5.5 g Cornstarch (2 tsp.)

20 drops E.A. Spiced Woods blend, or other essential oils of choice.

Instructions:

Place mold on a tray that will fit in your freezer. In a double boiler, melt cocoa butter. When melted, remove from water and wipe the bottom of the pot to prevent water from contaminating the product. Stir in the dry ingredients. Allow the mixture to cool to 40C (if you have a thermometer) or until it is warm to the touch. Stir in the essential oil until completely blended and immediately pour into molds. If you notice the mixture starting to solidify, place it back on the double boiler to make it easier to pour. Place the tray flat in the freezer for 20 mins to set. Pop out of the mold and enjoy!

Directions for use:

For bath - Once bathwater is ready, add 1 - 2 pebbles before entering the water. Immerse yourself as usual, and enjoy.

For the shower - use a pebble or two in place of a body scrub. The citric acid and baking soda act as an exfoliant while the coco butter leaves the skin soft and moisturized. Use within 3 months.

Note: Elbow grease may be required to clean the tub afterwards but the benefits are well worth it.

Caution: These pebbles can make the tub and/or shower slippery. Use caution when standing in the shower, or exiting the tub.
